End Grain Bamboo Cabinetry and furniture

In 2003 I came across a cutting board that exposed the end grain of the bamboo. I had never seen bamboo used as a building material and was intrigued by it. I was a home builder at the time and decided I wanted to do my kitchen counters out of end grain bamboo. After installing the counters I made veneers exposing the end grain and used that in the door and drawer design.
Half way thru the project I leased a building and set up a woodworking shop. 1 year later I closed my home building business and have been working with bamboo exclusively since that time.

Where do you get the veneer/wood? I'm in Sarasota and we have a good market for expensive , unique stuff like that.

Remarkable.
I'm overwhelmed by the sheer beauty.
Bamboo, of course, is a good alternative, gaining popularity all over world.
Congratulations.

That is beautiful work, I would love to learn more about bamboo. I gather that the edgebanding is also bamboo?

Bravo! Brilliant idea, excellent work. I tried pushing bamboo 4-5 years ago but my local market wasn't in the mood. Well done.
