Stiles on Inset Frame Cabinets

Hi,
I have a customer trying to maximize width on inset door cabinets. She would like 1.25 inch wide stiles. I'll be using full inset full wrap hinges, not euro half crank etc. Blum undermounts for slides. I don't see a problem with that width but wanted some thoughts about it. 90% of what we do is Frameless.
Thankyou.

No problem at all. Blum has a full array of mounting plates of various thicknesses to mount directly to the side of the cabinet. I’ve done quite a few jobs with these and they really are quite easy to use. F I remember correctly, you need to use a full crank hinge. Your distributor should be able to help you with the details.

If a ¾" partition centered on the stile, you'll need a 6mm plate and a full crank hinge it'd using blum and drill the door at 21.5 mm

Hello and thanks for the responses. I will not in this case be using Blum inset door hinges but rather butt hinges. So I'd really only be concerned with slides if anything. I think I'm good to go, other than the appearance of a narrow stile?

35mm stiles are all the rage in Ireland at the moment

Well duh, I missed the part about the full wrap hinges. My bad.

I would add a mm per side for leeway if your covering two 5/8 box gables. If sharing a gable, no problem

Hi Roy,
What in the heck is a box gable?

A gable thats part of the the box/carcass. Not an applied gable

Are you referring to a partition?

Hi Roy,
I figured out what you mean. Anyway I use 3/4 or 19mm plywood and I would have just one partition (gable) centered behind a stile so I'll be alright in that regard.
