My slider SCM SI 400 Nova came with adjustable Dimar scoring blade.
I was never happy with that one since its teeth have some offset from the blade's body and the scoring blade in it's far right position could not reach the right cutting edge of the main blade, so I had to mount the main blade with an offset shim, so that blade was not riding on the arbor with a full thickness, and some bad taste of improper improvisation was always lingering in the air.
Finally, I made a Freudian slip and damaged that scoring blade with some clamp left on the slider that run over it and chipped out few teeth.
Now I'm looking for the new scoring blade.
The diameter is 120mm and the arbor is 3/4" (or 19mm).
I haven't been buying scoring blades before so I'm not sure if they come with shims or I need to buy those separately?
From the description of the few I was able to find online I couldn't figure that out.
Any recommendations for the scoring blade/shims and seller?
I'm a little bit in a hurry so any help would be appreciated.
I couldn't find anything locally (Orlando, FL), but it would be the best if I could just drive myself to some store and get it right away.
Thank you,
O.
