Wanted to check with the group because I'm trying to find out who makes the best cordless pin and brad nailers. I won't mention the two top names but I was surprised to find one doesn't make a pin gun and other has a driver problem according to the reviews. Anyway, I greatly appreciate someone's experience and recommend for the best. Thank you!

The Makita nail gun is terrible
I have the Ryobi nail gun and Ryobi micronailer they have been great for a couple of years

I have had a 18 gauge dewalt brad nailer for awhile now and so far it hasn't given any problems

Thanks for your reply but I guess the technology has not caught up with cordless yet. I am aware of the bad reviews for the Makita driver. It's a shame because I have all the batteries. Senco makes a nice brad cordless nailer but not a pin nailer.

I have a Paslode Brad nailer, I love it, it always works like a top. The only drawback is the overall size of the gun is quite big and the gas cartridges are more money and need to be managed as they have expiry dates.
I looked at the makita and the Milwaukee battery guns and I couldn’t pull the trigger on purchasing one. I thought they were pricey and heavy.
A guy I know uses the Dewalt ones and he likes them, they are also a bigger unit.

Scott I'm glad to know that you are having lots of luck with your Paslode nail guns. I have two Paslode's, one framer and one brad and I never had much luck with them. Actually they have been sitting in my shop for many years now and one time I tried selling them on Craigslist but I didn't want to answer the replies because I thought they were scans, ha,ha. I guess I'll keep looking and thanks for checking in!

Milwaukee just introduced a pin nail gun. Model #2540. It's so new the story should be restocking it soon. Check it out @ Tool Guyd for Milwaukee M12 Cordless Pin Nailer.

I have Ryobi 18 GA nailer.
I got it to get rid of carrying air compressor and air hose to the installation.
It has been working good so far, but I have not been using it very much, probably less than 50 shots per kitchen installation, mostly for attaching fillers to the cabinets.
Chose that one after brief research of few woodworking forums and also for Ryobi's cheap portable vacuum cleaner that can work on same battery and charger.

I use the Ryobi 18 gauge and stapler , they are great for the price. I've heard mixed reviews on the pinner but my guess is it would be as good as anything currently out there and half the price.

Thanks for the Ryobi referral!!! I'm seeing them on Amazon $200, Ryobi pinner, battery and charger. I think I'll go with it and the brad nailer. Thanks again.
