Floating Vanity

What do you do to for support of granite tops on floating vanities? In the past I have always just made a taller 8 or 10 inch "toe" set back about 10" which gives the appearance of floating but nicely support the cabinet. I have a job where the vanity will be visible from a little farther away so the recessed toe would be more visible. Do any of you truly hang them on the wall? Any special mounting or supports? Thanks.

Mike - that's interesting, thanks. So it looks like you bolt it to the right side of the stud? It says "all welds are reversible". Not sure what that means?

Done lots of them , I build cabinet with 3/4 back and screw to wall , Lately been using a larger GRK structural screw , two up high in each stud.

That's usually the way I do it. 3/4" back biscuited in and lots of pocket screws. Then exactly what you said, usually a 4" GRK with the large head and the #40 tip.
But if you want to use brackets it's definitely another way to go.

Half inch Baltic birch back, with a 3/4" thick plywood nailer. Then some big screws with big heads. Seems to work alright.
