Is this possible with any available hardware? Thick glass (3/8" or 1/2") slab doors, hinged at side, or hinged at top.
No frame around. Glass slabs.

I've seen glass sliding bypass doors and glass barn door/shower door hardware, but I'm not sure what kind of door or hardware you are hanging.

Blum and other hardware manufacturers make hinges that glue onto glass with UV curing adhesive. If you are talking about cabinet doors.

I think the problem is going to be the 3/8" to 1/2" thick issue. Most glass hinges for cabinets deal in the 4-6mm thickness range for the glass whether they clamp on or are a drilled hole in the glass before tempering.
No idea on the thick for sure and they may not integrate well but for that thick glass you may also look to the frameless shower door hardware but thats likely a stretch.

my only thought for thick glass is glass shower door hardware. these hinges are designed for .375-.5 glass. some of the hardware just 'pinches' the glass. some go into funky milled shapes in the door. i do recall them being somewhat adjustable. go to the a glass supplier and look at their selection. they have standard, pivot, even some hydralic options, though its been a long time since i used those. i never did the install on these - it was always the shower people.
