Curved Glass

I’m building a violin cabinet, with the violin set horizontally (as in Krenov’s Violin Cabinet). I want to use curved doors with curved glass. Is there a bendable acrylic that is as clear as glass? Or is there a company that will make curved glass for a small project at a reasonable cost? Any other solutions are welcome.

Small rounds of curved glass are never going to be had for a reasonable price. It's a specialty item.
If you have access to an oven that you can fit the pc of acrylic in you can bend it. Do some searches about bending acrylic and you'll find the temperature to set the oven at. You'll need to make a 3D blank to shape the curve. When the acrylic is in it's pliable state set it on the 3D blank and it will conform to the shape and let it cool. It will have no spring back.

What do you call reasonable? Any local glass company can order curved glass for you. Do not build the cabinet before the glass gets to you, because some spring back is very common when the glass cools. Also glass companies have their own ideas what a reasonable tolerance is. All acrylic is softer than glass and does not do well with cleaning. It will scratch over time. You can go pretty thin with acrylic because the bend will keep it from flexing in place. A cold bend will be fine.

If you dont have an oven big enough, call someone that does powder coating. Make a form th the curvature desired. I've bent 1" thick lexan this way

I don’t think I’ll ever understand why people overuse the word reasonable and think it’s going to mean the same thing to everyone.
You’re asking for CURVED glass and you think the word reasonable is going to apply?

I did ask for a price from a company that makes curved glass. Their minimum cost is 400 dollars. I suppose that’s ‘reasonable’ for them.
I’m going with acrylic. My oven is big enough. Thanks everyone!
