Striebig saw
6/10/23
I recently found a Striebig saw, I believe it is late 80’s and I believe the model is a standard 5192, I know little about these saws, I was looking for where I could get a manual? I just was looking for the steps on how to use it.
Appreciate any assistance.

Call Colonial Saw. They are the US distributor, they'd probably be able to help you out.

Did you contact Striebig? I find industrial machinery manuals aren't often operation manuals

Hi Jeff,
You may want to check out the Colonial Saw Youtube channel where they cover a lot of the functions/adjustments on the saw. Since your saw is a bit older, not all of the videos will be applicable, but conceptually, you'll gain a better understanding of the saw.

I have a Striebig Standard in about that age range. Use it every day but have never read the manual. Seems straight forward to me. The saw cuts vertical and rips horizontal depending on what your needs are. My preference is to cross cut vertical first. I trim the final width in the rip position using pre-set stops. You can load the saw without actually picking up the sheet. Slide it off the stack and tip it over onto the rollers. I prefer to do it by myself unless the panels are large or heavy. Twelve foot sub counter top would be an example of a two person job. I score on the up stroke, rotate the saw and final cut on the down stroke.
