Aftermarket blower nozzle

I’m trying to improve dust collection on my cnc by adding a blower nozzle at the spindle. I would like to control this with a solenoid that is tied into the spindle, so that when the spindle is on so is the blower. Has anyone done something similar?

Should be easy enough. My CNC's just have a small copper tube pointed in sort of the right place. Just need to tie the solenoid into a contactor somewhere that makes sense - spindle on maybe.
Or just use a spring loaded pneumatic valve that opens when the spindle/gantry moves away from home and closes when back home.

Do you have any other air lines that activate with either spindle on? Some machines have air blowing on the rack and pinion to keep it clean for example. If you do have something like that you can just T into that air line.

This is a great idea to Tee into a line and add a blower nozzle. I have Pneumatic hold down rollers on my machine and when they are activated, that could be a great place to add a nozzle. A simple ball valve would allow the nozzle to be on or off as processes require and the control would be whenever the rollers are commanded to lower down.
This can also be used with a mist coolant system for aluminum.
