Fixture manufacturer with continuing growth in business is looking for a junior position in our engineering department. This position will provide engineering support for all phases of our product manufacturing process.
A strong desire to learn is very important; were constantly evolving as a company, and we design and manufacture unique fixtures, with a fantastic culture and amazing team of people. Experience with CNC routers would be helpful. Problem-solving and the ability to work autonomously and as a team is critical. Responsibilities:
Create and edit 2D and 3D product drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
Collaborate and coordinate with project managers to resolve discrepancies and complete projects
Design and engineer complex fixtures utilizing custom hardware, and different materials
Review drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
Make and review shop drawings for manufacturing
Produce machine code from product drawings
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Drafting and Design is preferred but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree
Resourceful, engineering savvy, able to quickly contort to new guidelines and be open to new points of view, new information, and new ideas
Requirements:
Must be a team player/work well with others
Proficient in AutoCAD
Microvellum software knowledge is a plus
Ability to visualize concepts and articulate ideas well
Must be able to read and process measurements, blueprints, directions, instructions, and manuals etc.
Very good organization skills
Experience in a similar field such as cabinetry or millwork is a plus
Salary $60-70K
Relocation is available.
