Millwork Engineer
Southeast U.S.
Salary: 60-80K+, Relocation Package, Medical, Dental, Profit Sharing Bonus, PTO and Holidays
Job Description:
• Prepare initial layout of drawing pages, including project information and key plans per area.
• Develop detailed shop drawings and submittal packages for millwork, cabinetry, and panel products using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
• Obtain and assemble data to complete submittal packages and shop drawings, performing material and hardware research as well as site information as necessary.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and quantities for material, hardware, and buyout orders.
• Responsible for end-to-end Engineering process for major projects, utilizing Drafters and Pre--Production, and coordinating with Project Teams.
• Work with Project Teams in creating RFI’s, identifying scope adjustment items, establishing and evaluating design concepts, requisitioning material, generating material lists, calculating material requirements for LEED documentation, meeting AWI/QCP certification requirements.
• Evaluate feasibility of designs, based on factors such as technical feasibility, function, budget, and production costs/methods.
• Modify and revise designs to improve operating efficiency.
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
• Develop manufacturing procedures and cut lists and monitor the manufacturing of shop drawings in production to improve operations and product quality.
• Research specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide labor and cost estimate recommendations and itemized production requirements.

• Experience with WoodCadCam (Preferred) and or Microvellum software
