Description
JOB SUMMARY
The experienced Cabinet Maker will be able to set up and operate all types of woodworking machines, power tools and hand tools. The ideal candidate will be able to independently determine the best method of shaping and assembling parts working from blueprints, supervisors’ instructions, and/or shop drawings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Measure and mark materials to verify dimensions.
*Communicate any discrepancies and inconsistencies of material or work order
*Establish the specifications of materials to be constructed or repaired and plan methods and operations for shaping and assembling, based on blueprints and work order instructions.
*Identify and report any defective materials or questionable conditions
*Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
*Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely.
*Follow all prescribed safety regulations.

*Ability to work both independently and with others
*Ability to communicate clearly with other employees
*Proficient use of both hand and power tools
*Mechanical ability for both large and small equipment
*Good manual dexterity
*Strong attention to detail and safety
*Strong mathematical skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*5+ years previous woodworking experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*Regularly require the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach and lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
