Job Description
The project manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time and within budget. Job performance is measured by overall project outcomes, with an emphasis on managing and meeting schedule deadlines and budgets, and client satisfaction. · Coordinate all phases and day-to-day operational aspects of projects
· Understanding and defining project scope and objectives
· Create and manage all project documentation
· Assist with appropriate revenue recognition and monitor receivables for project
· Work within the confines of the project budget; assist in accurately forecasting and analyzing project profitability, revenue and margins based on the budget
· Understand business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
· Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
· Manage the day-to-day client interaction
· Set and manage client expectations
· Effectively communicate with clients and Carpentry Associate team members to keep all up to date and informed
· Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
· Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
· Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application of client engagements
· Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties
· Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
· Minimize Carpentry Associate’s exposure and risk on projects
Qualifications
· 5 - 10 years in architectural millwork
· 5-8 years of project management and related experience
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
· Proven ability to solve problems creatively
· Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong familiarity with project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
· Excellent analytical skills
