$70,000 - $90,000 a year (based on experience and capabilities) - Full-time
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Has over 5 years of experience in the exhibit or woodworking industry
Is proficient in Autodesk Inventor and the Woodwork for Inventor program

Required experience and education:
Minimum 5 years of experience using AutoCAD and any similar CAD drafting/modeling software
Minumum 5 years of experience in woodworking

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a CAD Department Working Supervisor to join our team.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the CAD Department Working Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in both project execution and team management. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating detailed and accurate fabrication drawings for shop floor production.
Creating detailed and accurate 2D and 3D CAD models of components, assemblies, and structures.
Leading a team of two CAD detailers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
Managing and completing fabrication drawing assignments, demonstrating your expertise in CAD software and woodworking principles.
Analyzing the workload and effectively distributing assignments to team members based on their strengths and workload capacity.
Collaborating with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
Setting and communicating realistic project timelines, considering factors such as complexity, resources, and deadlines.
Monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards are met, and adjusting strategies as needed to meet project goals.
Troubleshooting technical challenges and providing innovative solutions to design and engineering issues.
Maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication within the CAD department.
Upholding and promoting company standards and values in all interactions and deliverables.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, **Autodesk Inventor is preferred**, etc.) and a strong background in technical design.
Experience in woodworking principles and fabrication.
Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, showcasing your ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments, allocate resources, and set achievable goals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Problem-solving aptitude and a creative mindset to address design challenges.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in both design work and team output.
A proactive attitude, adaptability to changing project demands, and a willingness to take ownership of projects.
A degree in engineering, wood technology, or equivalent work experience.
