Job Overview: The Cabinet Assembly Lead is the front-line worker to our production operation, and is responsible for communicating what the group will need in order to complete weekly scheduled projects (things such as materials or shop build drawings and details and ship dates required). The Cabinet Assembly Lead will plan and delegate tasks weekly for shop staff based on abilities. This person will train and develop staff, while maintaining positive safe environment for all. Responsibilities and Duties: Review & balance line workload and weekly schedule Review all Shop Drawings prior to floor production Review machinery status daily to plan for the balance line assembly Advise with project management on production assembly Hold a daily huddle to discuss all projects and deadlines for that day, etc. Confirm that all subassemblies are complete prior to the build day Provides technical assembly advice to engineering /project management Enforce all company management policies and procedures Report all safety issues Participate in companywide initiatives Assist with all logistical needs from project management and the Operations Manager You will be part of the cabinet build team
Job Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred but not required with a related field Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings Must be familiar with production assembly and finishing practices Have general knowledge of OSHA standards Good written and math skills Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of lean principles and 5-S.
