Very nice! That is a true heirloom piece, not many people use that kind of quality anymore. What was your method for the sliding dovetails, hand or machine cut?

Thank you. I use the same shop made jig with router for the sliding dovetails and dado that connects them. The rails are glued into them. The cross tenoned pieces are glued and pinned in the front rail mortise.at the back rail there is a gap at the shoulder and the tenon floats in the mortise and dado. This allows for movement of the sides without cracking. All other dovetails I cut by hand.
