Simple but exploding with character. It is well designed in form and choice of wood.
Just wondering if this is the first of its kind, how many shop hours did it take and how many would it take to make the second?

thank you for your compliment, lou ... you are very kind. this table is surely the first of its kind, and i made it as a first project in woodworking school, so how many hours it took to make it is hard to say...but if i had to guess maybe 160 ? I think I could do another in 100 hrs. (the complexity of its construction belies its simple appearance) this table is featured in the Complete Illustrated guide to Furniture and Cabinet Construction by Andy Rae (Taunton Press)
