Very nice work! Excellent design and craftsmanship. I'm so glad you didn't give in to the latest trend of distracting everyone from so-so craftsmanship and unimaginative design with mixed wood species, or over-ornate trim. This is a piece I would be proud to make and show off and have in my home.

well i'm not sure whether this unit qualifies as imaginative design but i do agree with the wooddoc and it is refreshing to know that i'm not the only one completely underwhelmed by this idea of mixing cherry and maple or walnut and sycamore or mahogany and afromosia or oak and cedar etc. etc.
and of course if the over ornate trim is hand carved then much respect to the craftsman but otherwise leave the rope mouldings and assorted other crap for the theatre where it belongs. sorry for the rant, i think perhaps i've been building paint grade boxes for one week too many!
