Maple Burl Partners Desk With Inlaid Top

This project has two lives. The base carcase with the bookmatched raised panels was built from highly figured Western Bigleaf Maple that I salvaged from a big burn pile. The miter spline and edge detailing is rosewood. Then I sold my shop and the project went into storage for twenty years and brought out once my new shop was built. I was then able to complete the desk by constructing the inlaid top and the drawers.
