Very nice finish and style although I'm a bit concerned that it may be unstable and easily tipped over. Did you add weight to the base to make it more stable?
tell me a bit about your finishing process. I never have had luck acheive even dark colors on maple. What is your technique. why did you decide for maple rather than walnut itself?
To answer the first question:1) This table is very stable and did not need additional weight in the base.
2) I cannot get into alot of detail but consider using Lacquer Based Stains. 3)The customer specified the Wood species and the wood color based on other furniture in the clients home.
