Thanks.this cabinet is made from birch and i sand it down to 220 grit and wipe on a oil base stain from becker,thand I spray 2 coats of Akva Line 212-40 precatalyzed clear sanding with 220 between coats.this finish is self prime.I use it on my interiors as well.all are Beckers brand and bought from Pro Craft in Fredericton N.B Canada.
