Kauai Fine Woodworking is a Kauai, HI based custom cabinetry and millwork shop. Recently expanded, we now have a 13,000sqft. facility including mezzanines and a newly finished 1200sqft. downdraft paint booth. We are growing into our new space, expanding our production capabilities, and looking for experienced people to fill new roles. We are a small/medium sized shop consisting of roughly 12 people on the floor. Our work is predominantly hand-stitched, custom, veneered, cabinetry and paneling. We offer a very focused and challenging, yet fun environment.
Hours of operation are 7a-5p M-F. Hours are somewhat flexible but we need you to commit to 40 hours a week.
Journeyman applicants must have worked in a high-end shop for a minimum of 5 years.
The journeyman position starts at $45/hr.

A journeyman should be a self-starter who understands complex woodworking concepts and engineering. You should work well with others as you will have people working under you and with you on a daily basis. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with raw wood veneer stitching and pressing.
Applicants should:
-Have experience working with exotic veneers
-Be detail-oriented and committed to perfection
-Have an understanding of shop drawings
-Have an understanding of cabinet hardware
-Be comfortable setting up machinery for others
-Have excellent communication skills
-Install experience preferred
