Architectural Millwork Estimator
Mission:
Southern Pride Custom Cabinets is seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Estimator to work out of the cabinet production facility in Madison, AL.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with General Contractors to accurately estimate millwork projects in a clear, timely and efficient manner to be handed off to project management once awarded.
Make sure handoffs are completed and that all information is complete and recorded so project management can reference at any given time.
Ensure material pricing is kept current and input correctly, while keeping vendors competitive by requiring multiple quotes from competing companies.
Ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment where cross training is encouraged and desired
Performs other minor duties as assigned and related to position and team goals
Requirements:
Knowledge of Blue Beam software is a plus
3-5 Years of experience doing cabinet and Millwork takes offs and estimates
Knowledge of millwork materials to VE bids is a plus
Knowledge of trim and molding take offs
Willing to learn new estimating software
Works well with others
Willing to walk job sites, take notes, and feels comfortable in the commercial world
Can read drawings and understand all aspects of the millwork scope
Must provide own transportation and valid driver's license
Must pass pre-employment drug test and have clean background record
Full time position (typically M-Th- based on business demand), with competitive optional benefits; pay is commensurate with experience
