Job Description:
We are looking for a full-time, entry to mid-level, Assistant Field Supervisor/Assistant Installation Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our growing team! We are in the high-end custom millwork industry and are looking for someone who has a background in field layout and a basic knowledge of the installation methods of high end woodwork and a high degree of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be someone who will be comfortable with initially shadowing our Field Supervisor, who has 40+ years of architectural millwork knowledge and experience; You must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone with long term goals. Your success in this position could lead to a management role. The candidate should be willing to be trained and absorb the knowledge afforded to you by your Supervisor. You must be willing to grow as a woodworking professional while honing your skills. You should have a general understanding of architectural millwork manufacturing, installation, be proficient in reading shop drawings, have a basic knowledge and understanding of the field dimensioning and layout processes , and, most importantly, know how to read a ruler! Lastly, we expect you to conduct yourself at the highest level possible at all times.
Rate of pay will be commensurate with work experience.
Job Requirements:
• A basic understanding of architectural millwork installation and fabrication.
• Ability to listen and learn from a consummate professional who you’ll be working along with.
• Effectively work with all members of the Handcraft team
• Ability to read a ruler and have tools necessary to complete tasks given to you.
• Ability to read, write, and edit programs per company procedures.
• Ability to successfully collaborate with a network of support ( design team, Project Management, and Installation Crews) to facilitate completion of assignments given.
• Initiate and perform technical activities associated with assignments leading to improvements of existing processes or technologies which have significant impact on installation results.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of tasks assigned to you.
• Demonstrate an ability to translate all drawing requirements as required for the proper layout and installation of our product.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision or with supervision, as necessary.
• Demonstrate ability to complete tasks and assignments in a manner that has the companies best interests in mind.

Job Type:
Full-time. Your day will start at the home office in Pompano Beach, planning out your day with your Supervisor, interacting with Project Managers and the design team as necessary to formulate a game plan for that day and beyond.
