Installer Position Overview:
Woodlane Installers are skilled staff responsible for the installation of cabinetry, furniture and architectural products. Installers must have the ability and skills to complete installation from start to finish. This position works on various jobsites: residential, commercial, and industrial, and works in accordance with Woodlane’s core values: On Time, Communication, Process Driven, and Positive Attitude. The position reports to the Installation Coordinator.
Qualifications:
• Experience in construction or a related field
• Experience installing cabinets preferred
• Excellent carpentry and hand tool skills
• Experience with handheld power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.)
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Woodlane’s vehicle policy
• Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when requested, including occasional overtime.
• Travel required with occasional overnight stays for out-of-town jobs
• Background screening may be required based on job site requirements
Responsibilities:
• Provide the highest level of quality standards while maintaining strong safety standards and a professional attitude with the utmost respect for the customer’s property
• Inspection and assembly of materials and articles to specified standards
• Perform all cabinet installations, with the ability to reason and to understand and carry out detailed written, illustrated, or oral instructions
• Read and understand blueprints and drawings
• Ensure work is completed as requested by the customer, project manager, or contractor and the work meets their standards
• Provide excellent customer service
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
• Ensure attention to detail in all work
• Practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
• Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns affecting completion of the job to the Install Coordinator/Project manager
• Attend all Woodlane sponsored training courses
