Summary
Extensive working knowledge of the woodworking industry, new technology, & innovation. Ability to multitask, lead a team of professionals, and build consensus among employees. Extensive knowledge of automation and engineering technology.
Responsibilities
-Schedule and set priorities for the floor
-Review and evaluate business procedures
-Oversee the work of upper-level management
-Evaluate, hire, and review all production staff
-Manage scheduling and sales estimation meetings
-Inventory management & stage all materials for production
-Work with capital purchases and budgets to plan for new technology
-Work within budget constraints & maintain financial goals and expectations
-Utilize KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to determine needed course of action
-Manage quality assurance & utilize lean management and Five-S standards for continuous improvement
Responsibilities
-Maintain constant awareness of all projects from start to finish across all levels of production
-Model & exemplify professional behavior & attitude to build a healthy work environment
-Work within financial budgetary constraints to increase profitability and reduce waste
-Assess productivity in accordance with standard operating procedures
-Provide feedback and consider disciplinary action when warranted
-Address accountability across all levels of management and staff
-Facilitate the flow of communication between all departments
-Provide employee evaluations to promote individual growth
-Assist with purchasing inventory and job-specific materials
-Monitor and control workflow between all departments
-Conflict resolution, Mentoring, and Team building
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
-Monitor and maintain safety programs
-Assist with engineering projects
-Time management
