Sumarry
This company designs, manufactures, and installs custom architectural millwork and casework for the commercial construction industry. We are seeking to add an experienced Millwork project manager to our team. The project manager is responsible for overall planning and management of assigned contracts. This position serves as the single point of contact between the Company and our general contractors. The project manager is responsible for discussing and approving design concepts and requirements with estimating, manufacturing, clients, and internal operations (engineering, purchasing, installation, accounting).
Responsibilities
-Supports Installation Team by ensuring successful installation
-Responsible for obtaining all field dimensions or coordinating the collection of this data
-Overall managerial responsibilities for all assigned projects from award/handoff to completion
-Plan for resources and materials needed for contract completion, including materials receipt and storage
-Manage contract documents, including submission of change orders, requests for information and other related documents
-Works closely with Drafting & Engineering team to develop accurate shop drawings prior to submission to the customer and prior to release for production
-Discuss design concepts and requirements with clients and architects and recommend design and material alternatives, and approve all documentation submitted to clients and Manufacturing
-Monitor project status and product output during Manufacturing and Installation for compliance with specifications, cost and materials budgets, and quality, safety and aesthetics standards, including regular client contacts to monitor satisfaction
Requirements
-In addition, strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills and excellent organizational and self-management skills are required.
-A demonstrated knowledge of millwork and casework construction and production principles, techniques and materials is needed
-Extensive prior experience in and strong business knowledge of the construction and woodworking industry required
-Impactful negotiation, collaboration, & relationship-building abilities with both internal & external stakeholders.
-Two-year degree or higher from a technical school, college, or university is required
-Adaptability to shifting priorities and ability work well under tight deadlines
-Ability to plan, organize, and complete work effectively and efficiently
-Relevant experience can be considered as equivalent to a degree
-Clear judgment and creative problem-solving abilities
-Project management: 3 years (Required)
