Planner Mill Supervisor - MS

Starting base salary: $80-90K
Responsibilities
-Continuously sharpen the professional skills of team members.
-Provide ideas, innovation and suggestions for continuous improvement and opportunities.
-Strengthen, develop and motivate staff by managing responsibilities and ensuring accountability.
-Ensures safe work practices, follows safety procedures and completes required safety forms, checklists and permits.
-Demonstrate strong leadership and training by leading manufacturing principles and events with supervision.
-Ensure quality standards and order specifications are met throughout the manufacturing process of the wide range of products.
-Assist in promoting a continuous improvement culture through communication and coaching employees as well as finding opportunities for streamlining production activities and enhancing value-added processes.
Requirements
-Must be able to tolerate Environmental Conditions like extreme hot, humid, cold, and outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
-Understanding of accounting and financial metrics for a mill operation as well as computer skills with knowledge of MS Office
-Demonstrative safety leadership & excellent team-building and motivational skills
-Previous wood products manufacturing management experience.
-At least 1 year of prior experience as a supervisor or lead
-Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-Lean manufacturing/5S experience a plus
