Job Description:
As a Cabinet Finisher, you will be responsible for applying stains, paints, and protective finishes to wood products, including cabinets and custom millwork pieces. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, a strong eye for detail, and expertise with HVLP and AAA spray systems. Additionally, you must be skilled in color matching stains and performing touch-ups to ensure the highest quality finishes.
Responsibilities:
Sand, stain, paint, and finish wood cabinets and millwork to achieve a high-quality finish.
Apply varnishes, lacquers, and other protective coatings to wood surfaces.
Operate HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) and AAA (Air Assisted Airless) spray systems to apply finishes smoothly and evenly.
Expertly color match stains to achieve precise hues and tones.
Perform touch-ups and repairs to finishes, ensuring seamless blends with surrounding areas.
Inspect finished products to ensure smooth, even finishes and correct imperfections.
Maintain and operate finishing equipment, ensuring proper use and safety.
Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a cabinet finisher or similar role.
Hands-on experience with HVLP and AAA spray systems.
Expertise in color matching stains and performing touch-ups.
Familiarity with various finishing techniques, including hand and spray applications.
Ability to work with different types of wood and stains.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Knowledge of safety standards and equipment handling.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
