Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter / Foreman / Supervisor with a minimum of three years of experience in all phases of carpentry and field construction (commercial construction preferred). This role offers the opportunity to transition into an Architectural Millwork Project Manager through cross-training. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Northampton, MA office, with potential for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a liaison between internal departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and installers to coordinate project completion.
• Review all bid documents, including architectural drawings, bulletins, RFIs, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
• Develop and manage project schedules, outlining the project lifecycle.
• Analyze contracts, building rules, and regulations, identifying key concerns.
• Lead project handoff meetings between estimating, production, purchasing, engineering, and project management teams.
• Communicate project requirements, deadlines, and changes to all stakeholders.
• Address internal and external questions, including sending RFIs to general contractors or architects.
• Work with general contractors to obtain all necessary coordination information.
• Review and assist in creating shop drawing submittal packages.
• Track and review all potential cost changes (PCOs), coordinate pricing requests, and submit necessary documentation.
• Integrate approved PCOs into engineering and production workflows.
• Manage submittals of material samples, finish samples, and drawings.
• Conduct site visits for field measurements, site meetings, shop drawing reviews, and scope walks (local travel required).
• Organize and distribute documentation, including approved submittals, RFIs, and bulletins.
• Work with engineering to apply shop drawing markups and field measurements for release-to-production shop drawings.
• Write work orders (WOs) for shop submission.
• Coordinate deliveries and delivery notices.
• Submit monthly requisitions and manage billing with accounting and clients.
• Oversee project closeouts, ensuring all required documents are forwarded to contractors.
• Maintain proactive communication with department heads regarding project status and client relations.
• Ensure project goals are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Utilize strong skills in communication, time management, planning, execution, decision-making, and organization.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed to ensure project success.
• Must pass a drug screen as a condition of employment.
