This company is looking for an operations manager who is at the top of their game and ready to run with a company of professionals whose aim is to be the top hospitality millwork and cabinetry manufacturer in the nation. This isn't for the meek and is in a fast paced environment. If you are confident in your ability and are a leader who isn't afraid to set the bar higher daily, then this is the job for you.
The operations manager is responsible for the leadership of the company’s manufacturing operations. The role is to effectively manage the development and direction of the operations team to drive the growth of revenue, increase productivity, and improve customer satisfaction. The operations manager will be overall responsible for the day to day operations as well as the development and implementation of strategic improvements. They will work with internal resources to assist in the achievement of their objectives.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and implement new business strategies for improving processes and procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, minimize waste etc.
• Translate company’s goals into departmental goals and communicate so they are understood by all levels of the operations team.
• Responsible for the function of the Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and project management departments.
• Work with operational team to determine resources necessary to meet production, quality, customer service, cost and delivery goals. Add, retire, and Schedule resources as necessary.
• Monitor financial performance, job costing, and task costing.
• Manage safety, EPA, and quality assurance programs.
• Manage building, tools and equipment maintenance programs.
• Manage HR programs and conduct performance reviews.
Eligibility
• Possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Results oriented, ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines.
• Ability to read complex architectural, presentation and shop drawings.
• Minimum of 10 years of similar experience.
• Experience in hospitality industry a must.
• Experience in managing both high volume production and one of custom operations.
Strong supply chain management skills. *Must have experience building cabinets, furniture, and architectural millwork. *Must be recognized throughout the plant as the expert who provides sound advise and direction. *Must be a strong team builder, a champion of the companies core values, a strengthener of the companies culture.
