Job Description:
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision.
Management of the Project Delivery process in line with company and Client’s requirements.
Ensures good communication within the Project team (engineering, manufacturing, and logistics).
Developing and managing staff, establishing and maintaining a highly motivated and dedicated project management team.
Project Planning and progress management in conjunction with the VP of Engineering (including physical progress and Earned Value).
Coordinating all project team members, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to required standards, quality, cost and time.
Implementation of coordination and cooperation with site team including sub-contractors.
Coordinating all project activities. Design, Value Engineering, Fabrication, Procurement, and Installation.
Work with clients in ensuring that change is identified and agreed effectively.
Liaison with key clients and able to discuss the above activities.
Project reporting for the President and VP of Manufacturing and ensuring suitable feedback to the team.
Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with clients so that company core values are meet.
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques, and an ability to adapt and develop project management systems to best suit complex project programs.
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans.
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
Project management experience. 5 – 10 years
Experience of developing and managing budgets for large engineering projects.
Experience of managing diverse teams of engineers to deliver on time and to budget on challenging projects.
Experience of working with technical leaders to ensure delivery of high quality.
Experience of working with key clients and stakeholders, including key suppliers and delivery partners, to ensure project success.
