Product Launch Manager
Upper Midwest
Salary: 80-100K+, plus excellent benefits and relocation assistance if needed.

The position for Product Launch Manager is responsible for managing design, prototyping, and testing through a product or programs lifecycle. A successful candidate will help organize and manage many aspects of innovative architectural millwork and design projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and deliver economic value and sustainability outcomes. This includes the integration of all Company product lines, architectural millwork and future product lines. A Product Launch Manager must be able to conceptualize ideas and specify accurate design properties. It is critical to the role to plan the steps of going from conceptualization to final product and be able to implement in a timely manner to match client milestones. Before the final product, the Product Launch Manager must forecast the materials needed to create the product, potential designs, prototyping, testing, and assist in marketing of the product. This role will lead or attend various product design/development reviews and must be able to collaborate with all cross functional members of the design, product development engineering and production team. A critical responsibility is direct communication with the client, and interface with the sales team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to)
• Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple complex projects concurrently from development to completion. Ensures project schedule adherence and delivery of products per defined specifications and cost targets.
• Work to help develop project charters that provide an overall vision of the project goals and objectives to internal team and stakeholders.
• Understand and support all phases of the architecture design process with great design, graphics, text, research, drawing and rendering skills.
• Support, produce and or coordinate architectural drawings, graphic collateral and research documentation.
• Interpret business data and create a visual representation that can be more easily understood by different audiences.
• Confidently present and facilitate design review with other team members, working collaboratively.
• Taking client feedback and market research to determine the needs and goals of new products.
• Successful integration of all Company product lines that capture the requirements of our customers.
• Interact directly with client to develop product concepts based on needs.
• Identifying, quantifying, and reporting all cost factors involved in the project, with assistance from subject matter experts.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence cross-functional teams, as well as work independently all while adapting to a changing environment.
• Continuously looks to improve processes related to productivity, quality, purchasing and manufacturing to optimize overall product cost.
• Supports projects with carrying out a thorough, efficient and competent design review with discipline leads and specialists.
• Performing and/or understanding new market research to understand market requirements for new product development.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (include but are not limited to)
• Proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite including Excel and Project
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, architecture, interior architecture, construction or a closely related discipline.
• Three years of applicable experience preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals
• Ability to verbally and graphically articulate design goals and outcomes.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CabinetVision, Photoshop, inDesign and illustrator preferred.
• Strong written, presentation, and general communication skills.
• Ability to relate well with others, build rapport and effective relationships, use tact, diffuse high-tension situations and be tough-minded in a constructive way. Works well in cross-functional team environments.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting, and the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas in ways that simplify and engage.
• Exhibits sound business judgment and high integrity; a proven ability to positively influence others; strong analytical skills and business acumen; and a proven track record of taking ownership, driving action, and meeting commitments.
• Strong professional presence with high credibility.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Some minor exposure to saw dust created in product fabrication
• General office setting
• Minor exposure to the sounds of a variety of shop machinery (saws, etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (include but are not limited to)
• The ability to stay seated for extended periods working at a computer
• Will occasionally walk around to coordinate work or engage coworkers
