We’re on the hunt for an Estimator to join our expanding team. This is a temporary gig, but if you impress us, we’ll make it a full-time position!
Our work is a mix of residential millwork, commercial millwork, museum exhibit fabrication, architectural metals, and the occasional branded event fabrication.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for millwork projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with project management and the sales team to develop budgets.
• Negotiate estimates with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
Ideal Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Millwork Estimator or in a similar estimating role within the millwork, woodworking, or construction industry (3+ years)
• Strong knowledge of millwork materials, fabrication techniques, and industry standards (AWI knowledge is a plus)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and CAD files.
• A Google Sheets and/or Excel pro.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
$30-40/hour, 40 hours/week, 10am-6pm CST.
This is a remote position, but our office is in Austin, TX if you’re up for being in-person.
