Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations within a cabinetry manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production goals are met safely, efficiently, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and employee engagement. The Plant Manager leads cross-functional teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages financial performance, and ensures that plant operations align with organizational strategies and customer expectations. The Plant Manager will report to the Production Director.

Responsibilities
-Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of supervisors, leads, and production staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration aligned with company goals.
-Monitor and enforce quality control standards across all departments, taking corrective action as needed to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
-Apply lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.
-Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, labor utilization, scrap rates, downtime, and overall efficiency.
-Oversee plant budgets, labor costs, and resource allocation, ensuring operations stay within financial targets while maximizing productivity.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders related to plant performance and operations.

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
-Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, and industrial machinery, ideally within cabinetry, woodworking, or a closely related industry.
-Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or plant management role.
-Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and creative problem solving.
-Proven ability to manage production budgets, labor resources, and operational KPIs.
-Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing-related software is highly desirable.
