Open Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Drafting Engineer to join our growing team and help produce clear, concise, buildable shop drawings for high-end commercial projects.

Position Summary

The Senior Drafting Engineer is responsible for translating architectural drawings into accurate, detailed, and buildable shop drawings using AutoCAD for high-end commercial millwork projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer and draft detailed millwork shop drawings based on architectural plans and specifications.
  • Ensure drawings meet project requirements, design intent, and production standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to resolve design challenges.
  • Incorporate client feedback and revisions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
  • Assist with value engineering and design improvements when applicable.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-charge drafting engineer in architectural millwork.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and millwork fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of Microvellum and/or BIM/3D modeling software is a plus.

$75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
