Summary
We are seeking a very hands-on, motivated Mill Manager to lead our daily operations in a high-volume wooden pallet manufacturing environment. This role oversees a team of 25 employees and is responsible for driving production goals, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring smooth equipment operations. This is a working manager / supervisor role on the floor and not behind a desk
Responsibilities
• Manage daily production operations of 100K to 125K board feet.
• Perform and oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Supervise and lead a production team of approximately 25 employees.
• Set & monitor production goals to meet efficiency and quality standards.
• Train and support team members in production tasks and safety procedures.
• Ensure a consistently safe work environment and enforce all safety protocols.
• Work closely with management to ensure production schedules & goals are met.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, perform millwright duties, and handle basic electrical issues.
Requirements
• Previous Management or leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in:
-Hydraulics
-Basic electrical systems
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Millwright work (installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery)
-Proven ability to lead by example with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Previous Softwood Mill Management experience
• Bi-Lingual English / Spanish is a HUGE Plus!
