Millwork Project Manager – Acoustic Fabrication | Sound Fabrication – New Jersey
Are you a master of millwork who thrives on bringing order to chaos? Do you know your way around a CNC as well as you do a production schedule? Sound Fabrication — a fast-paced, high-quality acoustic millwork shop in New Jersey — is on the lookout for a skilled, organized, and driven Millwork Project Manager to join our growing team.
This isn’t your average PM role. We’re talking full-cycle project ownership — from estimating, to purchasing, production coordination, and shipping. You’ll be the central command of some of our most complex, high-end commercial acoustic millwork projects. If you live and breathe woodwork, speak the language of shop floor logistics, and love the feeling of a project running smoothly under your leadership, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do:
• Own the entire project lifecycle — estimating coordination, drawing review, procurement, scheduling, production tracking, and shipping coordination.
• Lead and collaborate with our shop team and clients to ensure timelines, budgets, and design intent are all aligned.
• Create and maintain project schedules and keep all the moving parts — materials, labor, machine time — in sync.
• Implement structure in a high-energy environment — you’re the one who brings clarity and focus when things get hectic.
• Communicate clearly — with vendors, installers, clients, and the team. You’re as comfortable with a spreadsheet as you are in a site meeting or a machine shop.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in commercial millwork project management.
• Solid understanding of architectural millwork, acoustic fabrication, and project coordination from concept through completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of millwork machinery and production workflows with machines including:

o JOOS Laminate Press
o OSAMA Glue Spreader
o ALTENDORF F45 (Table Saw)
o KAESER SK15 Air Compressor
o A knack for creating structure, improving workflow, and solving production challenges on the fly.
o Excellent organization, multitasking, and follow-through — with an eye for detail and a proactive mindset.
o Understanding and/or proficiency in the following software:
o Project Management Software
o AutoCAD
o Bluebeam
o Procore
o IX
o Woodwop
