Description
We're looking for a skilled Draftman / CAD Technician to join our team. The Draftman / CAD Technician will be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings and CNC-ready based on architectural drawings, specifications, and internal standards. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, the Production Team, and the Installation Crew to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural plans and specifications to generate accurate and timely shop drawings.
- Create detailed cabinet and millwork drawings using AutoCAD and Mozaik.
- Maintain drafting standards and drawing organization in accordance with company templates.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to incorporate clients changes and approvals.
- Resolve technical drawing issue with production and installation team.
- Assist in engineering custom components or configurations as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with AWI standards and ADA guidelines where applicable.
Qualifications Required:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Mozaik.
- 5+ years experience in cabinetry, millwork, or architectural drafting.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and hardware.
- Ability to interpret and translate architectural and shop drawings.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and time management deadlines.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of construction and building code requirements related to millwork.
