Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced custom door millworker with a proven record of high-end craftsmanship work. This role requires the ability to cut, sand, and combine wood or other components as required to create elaborate and unique doors according to their individual specifications. Prior experience with specialty doors is required.

Job Functions:

Cutting and assembling pieces of wood to create doors, and unique trim.
Operating machinery to bind these components using glue and various fasteners.
Sanding and prepping doors with close attention to detail.
Lifting doors onto tables and hand-trucks, as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Custom Woodworking and High-End Craftsmanship.
Knowledge of wood products, lumber, hardware, and door parts.
Experience operating millwork machinery and reporting equipment problems or emergencies promptly.
Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Read measurements to the 64ths of an inch.
Skills/Abilities:

Ability to follow safety protocols in the workplace.
Ability to squat, bend at the waist, carry doors safely and stand for several hours.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work OT as needed, including weekends.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic, self-starter, punctual and good collaborator
