We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Estimator / Procurement Specialist to support our continued growth.
Position Summary:
The Estimator / Procurement Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing material procurement for commercial-grade plastic laminate casework, panels, and countertops. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are priced accurately, produced efficiently, and delivered on schedule.
In addition to technical estimating responsibilities, this position supports customer relationship development and business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial-grade plastic laminate cabinetry, panels, and countertops
- Procure and price materials including laminates, cores, backers, hardware, adhesives, and specialty components
- Review architectural and shop drawings to ensure complete scope coverage
- Capture all job components for accurate job costing and production planning
- Coordinate with vendors to confirm pricing, lead times, and material availability
- Communicate with customers to clarify scope, schedules, and project requirements
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to align estimates with manufacturing capabilities
- Maintain accurate job costing records and support post-project analysis
- Customer Relationship and Business Development
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, vendors, and partners
- Serve as a technical resource for commercial laminate cabinetry and panel systems
- Participate in industry training and continuing education programs
- Support expansion into new markets and client partnerships
- Represent CAM Millwork professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications:
- Experience in estimating, procurement, or project coordination within commercial millwork or casework manufacturing preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial-grade plastic laminate construction and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Excel and estimating software or tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
