Company is a high-end custom window and door manufacturer specializing in premium residential and
architectural projects. They build complex, detail-driven products for demanding clients, and theyre looking for a
seasoned production leader who can bring structure, accountability, and flow to our shop floor.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations / Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, manage production schedules, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery across multiple active projects.
This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced, custom manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and maintain detailed production schedules for custom window and door manufacturing.
Coordinate workflow across machining, assembly, finishing, glazing, and shipping.
Balance labor, materials, and machine capacity to meet delivery commitments.
Lead and support shop supervisors and production staff.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Track production metrics, timelines, and quality standards.
Work closely with ownership, project management, and sales to align production priorities.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and shop best practices.
Proactively problem-solve scheduling conflicts, labor constraints, and material delays.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in production management or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
Strong preference for experience in millwork, windows/doors, cabinetry, or custom fabrication.
Proven ability to manage complex, custom production schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working directly on the shop floor.
Experience with ERP, production planning software, or advanced Excel preferred.
Ability to read shop drawings and understand manufacturing workflows.
High end luxury wood/metal window and door plant manager experience would be a plus.
