Position Overview
The Bookkeeper / Controller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, job costing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile bank accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee job costing and project financial tracking
• Process payroll
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Qualifications
• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in commercial construction accounting
• Knowledge of AIA billing and lien waivers
• Georgia Notary
