Description
Release Engineer is a technical liaison between the Engineering, Production, and Procurement Teams ensuring that the information released to the Production is timely, accurate and clear. In their role they will serve as the main point of contact between different departments and provide the Team with Engineering support and direction for any Design, Materials or Process related issues.
Qualification
Previous experience in similar positions in woodworking industry preferred
Ability to handle multiple Projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Supportive, conscientious, persistent, resourceful and productive.
2+ years’ experience in Solid Works and or sWood (4+ years preferred)
Experience with Cut Rite and Bluebeam Software is a plus.
General knowledge of wood shop manufacturing techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities
● Read/ interpret architectural drawings, and check against submittal drawings
● Label the submittal drawings to match the work order numbers (PDR)
● Compare submittals to the scope and quote to verify they match
● Create the Master Pack List using the labeled submittals
● Use the floor plans to confirm the AS and REV breakdowns.
● Release work orders from Micro vellum (export to Cut Rite) and assign routing to the other machine operations needed.
● Optimize parts lists Using Cut Rite software to create the patterns to cut the parts on the Schelling FH5 and if required, the Weeke flatbed nesting router.
● Print the Product Detail Reports (PDR), Labels, and EB reports for production.
● Confirm all parts are represented.
● Take the work orders and schedule them for production and efficiency.
● Break down job to make the Purchasing Request for the Purchasing Department.
● Make the models and programs for the saws.
