Position Summary
AMC is seeking a high-level Facility Maintenance Technician (FMT) to lead the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and production equipment. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring maximum uptime, operational safety, and manufacturing efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair CNC routers, edge banders, sanders, dust collection systems, compressors, and finishing equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
• Develop, plan, and manage maintenance projects with minimal operational disruption.
• Oversee maintenance documentation, including CMMS work orders, logs, and equipment histories.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Manage fleet vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure adherence to OSHA and building safety standards.
• Lead emergency response for critical system failures or environmental events.
• Champion continuous improvement and training initiatives to elevate equipment reliability and workplace safety.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or woodworking environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with PLC systems and CNC machinery preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong understanding of OSHA compliance and building codes.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred.
• Certifications such as EPA Universal (HVAC), OSHA 30, LOTO, or Forklift highly valued.
