Description
THE SHOP

We aren't a "box shop." We are a fine custom cabinetry manufacturer and architectural millwork firm with a 25+ year legacy of excellence. With work featured in Richmond Magazine and Home & Gardens, we take immense pride in being a key contributor to prestigious, award-winning projects - including recipients of the AIA Richmond Honor Award for Historic Preservation and the 2022 Golden Hammer Award.

From historic landmarks like the Richmond Symphony League’s 19th Designer House, the Taylor House, to modern icons like the 2200 at Cary townhomes, we define the aesthetic of Richmond. We value the "art" of the finish as much as the build itself.

THE FACILITY (Your New Lab)

We’ve invested heavily to create the ideal environment for a Master Finisher:

• Lighting: LED linear high bays and large picture windows for perfect color matching.
• Climate: Dedicated split heating system for the finishing room to control dry times and quality.
• Gear: New Graco pumps, high-end spray guns, and organized storage.
• Booth: Clean, well-ventilated spacious spray booth maintained for high-clarity results.

THE ROLE

As our Master Finisher, you will:

• Technical Execution: Lead the application of Sherwin-Williams Conversion Varnish (CV), catalyzed lacquers, and a spectrum of single-component and complex multi-step spray and wipe stain applications.
• Ownership: Manage the flow of the finishing room, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure every piece is "show-ready."
• Leadership: Set the standard for prep work (sanding, spackling) and final execution.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Top-Tier Pay: $36.00+/hour (DOE).
• Consistency: Stable M-F, 7:30–4:00 schedule in a climate-controlled environment.
• Benefits: Performance Bonuses, Paid Holidays, and a generous PTO package.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of high-end custom finishing experience.
• An expert eye for detail and color matching.
• Knowledge of wood species behavior and able to adjust accordingly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Apply: Send us your resume and a brief summary of your shop experience. If you have a portfolio or photos of your best work, we’d love to see them.
