Shift Production Lead
Cabinet Manufacturing
Surkado Cabinet Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Shift Production Lead to oversee daily production operations in our modern cabinet manufacturing facility.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will lead a team of 4–6 production employees while operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced woodworking equipment.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality, enjoys solving problems, and can keep production running efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the production shift
* Assign work and ensure production goals are achieved
* Operate and oversee:
* Beam saw
* Edgebander
* CNC routers
* CNC drilling machines
* Train and mentor production employees
* Monitor quality throughout production
* Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
* Perform preventative maintenance
* Diagnose and perform basic mechanical repairs
* Coordinate outside service when larger repairs are required
* Reduce machine downtime
* Maintain clean and organized work areas
* Help improve production efficiency and workflow
* Monitor tooling and consumables
* Communicate production issues to management
Qualifications
* 5+ years in cabinet manufacturing
* Experience operating:
* Beam saws
* Edgebanders
* CNC routers
* CNC drilling equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Comfortable troubleshooting equipment
* Ability to read cabinet drawings and production paperwork
* Leadership experience supervising production employees
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Forklift experience preferred
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
* Holzher equipment
* KDT machinery
* Cabinet Vision
* CNC programming
* Tooling setup and optimization
* Dust collection systems
* Pneumatic equipment
* Electrical troubleshooting (basic)
* Lean manufacturing
