Millex is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee a key strategic client relationship representing approximately $6–7 million in annual revenue. This position is dedicated exclusively to supporting one major national account with a continuous pipeline of projects requiring approximately two months of active production and two months of active installation at all times.
The Project Manager will serve as the operational leader for this account, providing guidance, direction, and oversight for both the manufacturing teams at our Fitzgerald, Georgia facility and the field installation teams throughout North America. This individual must become the client's trusted expert and Millex's internal authority on construction sequencing, installation methodology, site conditions, and project execution.
Projects are located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, requiring strong leadership, coordination, and periodic travel.

Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership

Serve as the primary operational contact for a major national client.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the client's standards, construction practices, scheduling requirements, and facility rollout objectives.
Build strong working relationships with client representatives, architects, designers, facility managers, general contractors, and installation partners.
Lead regular project meetings and provide accurate updates regarding production status, site readiness, scheduling, installation progress, and issue resolution.

Construction & Installation Expertise

Function as Millex's subject matter expert for construction methodology, installation best practices, field conditions, and project execution.
Review project requirements to identify risks related to site conditions, sequencing, access, logistics, and installation activities before they impact schedule or quality.
Develop installation strategies that maximize efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Guide field teams and internal departments on constructability, site readiness, and installation requirements.
Provide leadership and hands-on problem solving when field conditions differ from plans or expectations.

Production Oversight & Manufacturing Coordination

Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Operations teams at the Fitzgerald manufacturing facility.
Provide production guidance based on project priorities, construction schedules, and installation sequencing requirements.
Monitor fabrication progress and proactively identify potential bottlenecks or schedule risks.
Ensure manufacturing activities align with installation requirements and client commitments.
Facilitate communication between production personnel and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

Project Execution

Manage multiple concurrent projects across North America with accountability for schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate activities from project kickoff through final installation and closeout.
Track project milestones including engineering completion, procurement, fabrication, shipping, site readiness, installation, and punch-out.
Ensure all internal teams remain aligned with project priorities and client expectations.

Site Leadership & Field Operations

Coordinate installation schedules and site logistics with clients, contractors, and field crews.
Conduct project kickoffs, site visits, field inspections, and installation reviews as required.
Evaluate site conditions and provide direction to installers and subcontractors.
Identify and resolve field issues that could impact installation quality, schedule, or customer satisfaction.
Oversee project completion and punch list resolution.

Quality Assurance

Champion quality throughout engineering, manufacturing, shipping, installation, and final turnover.
Ensure products are installed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and Millex standards.
Drive continuous improvement based on lessons learned in both manufacturing and field operations.
Maintain accountability for delivering a finished product that meets or exceeds client expectations.


Qualifications

5+ years of Project Management experience in architectural millwork, commercial casework, custom cabinetry, specialty interiors, or commercial construction.
Demonstrated expertise in construction means and methods, installation practices, field coordination, and project sequencing.
Strong understanding of millwork fabrication processes and manufacturing workflows.
Experience managing projects across multiple locations simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence production teams, field crews, subcontractors, and customers.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Working knowledge of AWI standards preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Ability to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico as required.
Spanish language capability is a plus.
