For more than 80 years, Burmeister Woodwork Company has been creating some of the finest custom interiors in Wisconsin and Illinois. We specialize in one-of-a-kind architectural millwork, handcrafted staircases, luxury cabinetry, custom doors, and other high-end residential woodworking projects.

We are looking for an experienced millworker who takes pride in producing exceptional work, enjoys solving complex woodworking challenges, and is committed to delivering outstanding quality. Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural millwork, custom woodworking, cabinetmaking, stair building, or similar high-end woodworking.
• Experience in finish carpentry or architectural woodworking is highly valued.
• Ability to independently interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings and build projects from rough material through final assembly with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools including table saws, shapers, routers, jointers, planers, sanders, drills, and related equipment.
• Experience building custom stair components, curved work, radius millwork, or custom doors is a strong plus.
• Strong measuring, layout, and mathematical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities
• Build and assemble high-end custom architectural millwork, cabinetry, stair components, doors, and other custom woodworking projects.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Set up and safely operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship, accuracy, and quality.
• Work collaboratively with other craftsmen to complete complex custom projects.
• Identify and solve construction and fabrication challenges while maintaining project quality.
