Markov Prestige Group is a North Miamibased custom architectural millwork, specialty construction, and manufacturing company serving commercial and high-end residential clients luxury residences, restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, condominium common areas, and commercial interiors. In-house capabilities include architectural support, shop-drawing coordination, CNC production, custom fabrication, finishing, procurement, delivery, and installation.
The Opportunity
We're adding an Architectural Millwork Estimator to expand our estimating capacity. This is a hands-on estimating role not Preconstruction Director, PM, Operations Manager, or business development.
You'll work directly with Andrew Markov, President, and alongside our estimating, architectural, procurement, and production team. Andrew retains final say on pricing, markup, and client negotiation your job is producing accurate, organized, review-ready estimates that let those decisions happen fast.
What You'll Do
- Review bid invitations, drawings, specs, finish schedules, addenda, and RFIs
- Prepare quantity takeoffs from plans, elevations, and details
- Estimate materials, hardware, fabrication and installation labor, CNC requirements, delivery, and field conditions
- Cover cabinetry, wall panels, decorative ceilings, feature walls, doors, metal components, glass, stone, solid surface, and specialty finishes
- Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotes
- Prepare budgets, allowances, and detailed estimates with clear documentation of assumptions, exclusions, and risk
- Draft estimating RFIs; track addenda for pricing changes
- Juggle several estimates at once and flag obstacles before deadlines slip
AI & Technology
We use AI tools to speed up drawing review, scope extraction, and RFI drafting. You don't need prior AI experience you do need to be comfortable learning new tools and, critically, personally verifying every number AI touches. Judgment stays yours.
Required
- 3+ years construction estimating experience
- 2+ years in architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, commercial casework, or high-end residential cabinetry
- Strong drawing-reading and quantity-takeoff ability
- Strong Excel; Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, or comparable takeoff software
- Clear written communication (assumptions, exclusions, RFIs)
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines at once
- No degree required with strong direct experience
Preferred
- 5+ years millwork estimating; hospitality, luxury residential, healthcare, or commercial interiors experience
- Experience at a millwork fabricator or custom cabinet manufacturer
- Familiarity with CNC/shop-drawing processes and AWI standards
Compensation
$75,000$100,000 base, depending on experience, plus performance bonus tied to estimating accuracy, throughput, and documentation quality not just win rate or volume.
